Feminine Classic Tea Party Bridal Shower

At the end of October, we decorated a table for our special friend’s bridal shower in Kemang. I love the feminine pink and peach colour, and its gold combination. As a city girl who loves having her teas and cakes, her closest friends decided to throw her Bridal Shower at Huize Van Wely,a renowned Tea Room in Kemang Papillon. Guest were told to wear their whites, while the VIP, aka the Bride-to-be came in gold.

Gotta loves these colours.

Thank you Dini from Lighthouse Photography for these pictures

Cottage Chic Bridal Shower

Disclaimer : Ehem ! It will be hard to write it on the first person perspective. It will be a bit personal though.

As one of the florists and event stylist at Jonquilla Decor who has been helping our bride-to-be clients with their Big-Day, I felt a little challenged to do mine. The planning was in July, and I thought to myself I wouldn’t have time to decorate my bridal shower. It was in September, during the busy wedding season and I had to prioritize my responsibility towards my brides-to-be than my own (I’m not trying to sound heroic here, but it’s true!). Thankfully, the biggest grace that I received was that I have my best friend from teenage-hood who took over this matter straight away, and she did all the concepting (now this is Hero). Her name is Wita and if you have been following our blog, I’m sure this name rings a bell (she did few graphic works at our clients’ weddings). She knew me inside out, and the best thing is that she knew what I like, and I like (almost) everything she likes. She did a super fantastic job, from designing the concept, choosing colours, inviting my friends, ordering cakes, creating the games and picking the venue. And she left me with the easiest job, choosing the props, the flowers, and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Being in the wedding industry, I’ve met people that became friends, and that’s when Lighthouse Photography came in the picture. Thank you, sister in law for this photography arrangement.

My partner Deasy couldn’t be more helpful. With the creativity she has, she arranged these flowers and directed what goes where in this tiny 3 x 8 meters room.

I felt compelled to write some of these people who had threw me a celebration of my Bridal Shower. Behind this credit title, there’s a bigger feeling of appreciation towards your EXCELLENT assistance and works.

Aqua & Coral Wedding Colour at Semara Villa Uluwatu, Bali

Ceremony_Hans Lufei

We are talking about a girl who has a certain image of her perfect wedding, and we are trully glad that the wedding we designed for her matched her expectations (yayness! Relief). We made use of various fabulous vessels for the flowers, from book props, vintage wooden flower stand, crystal candelabras, vintage small suitcases and many others. The Bride & Groom’s family were very excited about their nuptial, coming all the way from Singapore and Phillippines, they were working hard for this couple’s wedding, from folding papers to baking cookies – this is a pure family love ! The colour concept couldn’t be any better, it was an amazing mix of aqua blue and coral pink.

The Roaring Twenties, Great Gatsby and Le Mariage Magazine Photoshooting

We were more than elated when we got a phone call from Le Mariage magazine, inviting us to contribute for their Oct- Dec 2013 edition. So we got all the Great Gatsby look ready. Together with Rafael Hidayat from Elikon Pictures, Gordon Blue Bakery & Cakes, Bistronomy Restaurant and Culture Royal Cookies, we pulled it off! Decorations and table set up are done by us, and thanks Rafael for capturing this beautiful work of art.  I think, Leonardo diCaprio would be begging us to have his parties here.

Wedding at Plataran Dharmawangsa : Haryo & Kemala

We personally love Haryo & Kemala. In planning of the wedding, we got in touc with Mala and later with the groom’s family when it was nearer to the D-day. They are both easy going, artistic and the best thing is that they are passionate about each other, we totally could feel that during the meeting.

Their wedding took place at PLataran Dharmawangsa, a traditional Javanese house in Southern Jakarta. We decorated the side-terrace area and the traditional Gebyok. We also did their handbouquet (peach and light pink roses, and baby breath), according to her personal favourite colour.

Thank you Kemala for sharing the picture.
